Flux crystal growth method (growth from high temperature solutions) is the method that is used to grow single crystals of incongruently melting compounds, but virtually all stable materials can be grown from a proper flux.
The Flux crystal growth in OSICO is mainly focused on growth of KTP, LBO and BBO crystals for nonlinear and electro-optic applications.
In this method a molten solvent, or flux is used to dissolve a material or its constituents in a platinum crucible and crystallization of material is promoted either by slow cooling or by pulling on crystallographically oriented seeds. Depending on crystal size, from two to three month are required to complete the growth cycle.
All the growth stations we operate are designed and assembled by ourselves. This enables us to implement shortly new units to cope with sudden demand peaks, and promote the crystal quality continuously.
Contract crystal growth is always welcomed. Our experience of successful R&D in the single crystal growth field with continuously innovative CZ and Flux methods, enables us to offer a wide variety of single crystals with the customer¡¯s defined chemical compositions.
